Hey ya'll,
got the brakes worked out and got to drive the 69 for a few minutes. When I brought it back into the garage , I noticed a little steam rising from the hood. NOT GOOD. I let it sit for a few minutes and i heard a small pop and water going everywhere. The bottom radiator hose popped off. I figured it was just loose. So, I attached the hose and filled the radiator, ensuring that it was tight. Went out, the temps looked good around 160-175. Noticed that the hoses were both limp, as if there were no fluid moving. When I got back to the garage, same steam, and pop went the hose. back to square one, where do I start troubleshooting? I am thinking water pump, but it has been so long since I have been out of this game, that I am not sure.

Try letting the engine warm up in the driveway with the cap off. check that the top hose is getting warm and that you have movement in the radiator. Also check to see if you have water dripping from base/ bottom of pump. Could be bad seal or impeller is shot. One other thing. make sure you have the correct cap on it. Should be rated at 17 lbs. Sounds though like either no or very little flow. Whens the last time you changed the tstat?
