Hi All
After researching flex fans, it looks as though Derale Heavy Duty Flex fans are the way to go. My car is a '68 with a 327 - can anyone recommend a fan size/spacer size combination??

I'm thinking I need a 17" fan with a 1" spacer. I just wanted to check and see if anyone has put one of these fans on thier car and can let me know if I'm indeed correct on the size...

The "original" fan on mine (4 blade... hehe) is a 17" with a ?????? 1 1/2" spacer, I think. I'll be using the same fan as you, with the stock spacer.

I am using the 17" part number 17217 with a two inch spacer and stock shroud. I also think an 18" would fit too. I am running a long pump as well.

Mines a 69 ragtop RS with air and cool great in any weather.

If your running a shroud, use a spacer that will position the fan blades half way into the shroud and half way out, this will give the best performance/efficiency from the fan.
Without a shroud the fan will work best with between 3/4" and 1" of space between the fan blades and rad core.
