Does anyone have a picture of their weatherstripping on the top where it meets the front and quarter windows. Should the driver and passenger windows go all the way inside the "channel" or do they just go in there enough so the outside "rib" of the weatherstripping just hangs over the windows? Either way, I think either my windows and or top frame needs adjusting, but I would like to see a picture of what it is supposed to look like so I know what I should be working towards.

Thanks for the help,

Victor

A picture? that would require everything to fit right, not easy to do.

The windows should fit snug to the channel moulded into the pillar weather strip, while at the same time going high enough to fit likewise in the weatherstrips on the top frame. I managed to achive this one.

The front weather strip on the top should seal to the top of the windsheild frame, the side peices should touch the pillar (couldn't do it, seems the repro weatherstrips are just too long here) and the pillar weatherstrip should touch the top weatherstrip. (got that)

If your top fits to the windshield pillar ok, then adjust the windows... BUT this is all one big can of worms... Everything interacts to everything else, front to back, top to bottom.. You move the front windows, then the rears don't fit, move the rears, the top won't go all the way up...won't meet to the windshield, etc etc etc.

I did mine with the top OFF... just adjusted the frame and the windows with new weatherstrips...then attached the top to the frame... it was a nightmare, and it's close but not perfect. But I rarely put the top up, and couldn't hear the wind over the flowmasters if I did...lol

Thanks Jim,

I am sorry I didn't post that my vert is a 67, so I didn't have to worry about the pillar strip.

I had my windows adjusted pretty much as high as it would go but they weren't high enough in the weatherstrip. I did a search on top frame adjustments and found a link to some pictures that showed a slight bend down in the frame. So I adjusted the allen head screws out a little and the windows fit the weatherstripping much better now. The top closes alot better too.

Thanks again for your reply.
