Does anyone have a picture or know of a publication that shows how a manual top frame assembly's springs and bracket are mounted into car? My top frame was in pieces but I found enough good illustrated parts diagrams to get it back together after painting it. I can't however find any detailed installation instructions or adjustment instructions on how it mounts to car frame. any help or pics would be great.......
thanks......keith

Kieth, You posted 2 polls, it that what you wanted? The Fisher body manual (avail in reprint at Camaro parts vendors) has a section on the folding top that should answer most of your questions. The info is very detailed and would be a very long post to put here.

Or do you have a more specific question?

Kevin the fisher manual is what I used to get the frame back together but it does not show how the frame itself bolts into the car. None of the bolt holes on the spring plates seem to match up with the structure of the car and I know it is the original top frame from the car. any ideas?

Sure they do:

Those three bolts called "Male Hinge Bolts" are all that holds the top to the car. The male hinge itself is part of the roof assembly. Which it item 42 on this image:
