Just letting you in the austin area know of a cruise night that takes place every saturday night about 6-8 pm, at the albertson's parking lot down south at the "Y" at oak hill, where hwy 71 and hwy 290 meet. I bring my 69 regularly, there are usually at least 30 or 40 cars that show, unfortunately there are usually only 3 or 4 camaros, so those of you in this area come down and represent your fellow first-gen owners.

Can I pull up in my 96 Ford Taurus and pretend its the completed 68 that it scattered accross my garage and through my house?
I've been meaning to drop in...I live about 2 miles from there. I would have thought my 68 would be getting paint by now. It's been a year since I got it.

well you can always come out and admire other people's cars, there was a great turn-out tonight. I'm usually there in my red '69 with black z28 stripes, just holler at me if you ever come by.

I have not had the chance to come down there a whole lot yet, but i plan on it for the rest of the summer. Maybe you have seen me there. I have a silver Pro-touring 68. I have heard that there is starting to be lot of 1st gens out there. Maybe it is hit or miss. I'll look for you next time I am out. I talked about forming a 1st gen club a few months ago but got consumed with planning a wedding with my my wife. Did I say wife, oh yeah I got married last weekend. Now that things have slowed down a bit, I am going to try to get that going again. Let me know if you are interested.
