View Full Version : Goodguys Show this weekend zuma May 30th, 03, 05:33 PM Anyone going? I'll be there on Sun Morning, Just thought I would ask... Mike :D yzf560 May 31st, 03, 03:29 PM Im going on Sunday graemlins/thumbsup.gif Z28 Mark Jun 1st, 03, 04:04 PM Went Saturday… I ran into Ed from Camaro Generations, and saw several people from Camaros Limited (Jon {has a Z28} Ron S.{smog guy}, and Robert {3rd Gen.’er}). Plus some others… It seamed very “low key”….. Not that many cars in the parking lot. And a lot of “car corrals”. Maybe they got the message from the last show… What was up with having the main hall closed down? Plus no cars on display indoors, just vendors? What’s up with that? Mark (A.K.A. Z28 Mark) or “180* OUT” yzf560 Jun 1st, 03, 05:14 PM Yeah I agree the turnout was not as good as ive seen before.Although it was better than doing work around the house. graemlins/beers.gif cavemanmoron Jun 21st, 03, 04:26 AM when the "Goodguys" show comes to my area,i will not go,it is for up to 1964 stuff only. I drove to the show about 5 years ago, they were very rude, and had not been advertising, that it has a year limit of 1964. If they ever go to '67,where i can enter my car,i shall still not go. I was Not the only person to be mad about this, and i shall NOT forget it either. Most car shows around here have a more reasonable cutoff year, like 1979. Guptill's 2003 Summer Cruises Cruise Info: Cruises are every 2nd Monday of the Summer Months from 4 to 9pm. A vehicle must be 1979 or older to be in the show. June 9 - 50's & 60's theme July 14 - Patriotic theme August 11 - Country & Western theme restoman Jun 21st, 03, 05:26 AM I don't know why the shows with age cutoff limits don't have a secondary lot for cars that are not admitted due to what ever. That way everyone can enjoy the event without feeling slighted or abused. I got burned that way more then once which really hurts the hobby. June 9 - 50's & 60's theme July 14 - Patriotic theme August 11 - Country & Western theme I'm in CA and found an ad for the Rhinebeck, NY Show in Sept in a mag. It says "Classics through '64". It's been that way for 11 years, this year is the 12th annual... Unfortunatly Goodguys caters to rodders first. Out here on the west coast there are lots of shows. many though are also pre '64. In the bay area (Pleasanton) the 1st 2 shows each year are "all years" the 3rd show is "thru '54" and the last show of the year is "all years"... Check out all the events they put on, you'll see many are pre '64. http://www.good-guys.com/events/events.asp |
