If those words mean anything to you, then this show is for you! The 6th Annual Supercar Reunion will be held August 29-30 at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, IL (suburb of St. Louis).

Friday's (Aug. 29) activities will start off at Gateway International Raceway, as the drag strip is rented from 8am-3pm, and is open to ALL musclecars. Already scheduled is a showdown between 2 original '69 ZL-1 Camaros, several Yenko Camaros, a few offerings from Baldwin-Motion, and numerous other ultra-rare cars. ALL MUSCLECARS are encouraged to attend and participate, but we'd like to know in advance if you're coming. Admission is $5 for spectators, $20 to race ALL DAY!

Friday evening (7pm) there will be a dinner/banquet with guest speaker Joel Rosen, the man behind the legendary Motion Performance. Joel is also bringig along a handful of the men who helped build those great Motion cars, and all will be on hand for questions/answers. Also attending will be Helen Gibb, the wife of the late Fred Gibb, who was responsible for the ZL-1 Camaros. Dinner tickets are $25/ea. and MUST be reserved in advance.

Saturday (Aug. 30) will be the indoor show at the Gateway Center for the Supercars, with the Musclecar Corral being held directly outside. On hand are the "rarest of the rare" offerings from some of Chevrolet's most elite dealerships, along with rare memorabilia. Admission is $5, and the show is open to the public.

This year should prove to be the biggest and best yet, as there is already quite an impressive list of pre-registered cars. SEE THE LIST! (http://www.yenko.net/reunion/2003reunion.htm#Entries)

Sounds good, Rob. Just tell Tom to hang on for a couple more weeks, before his nervous breakdown. See ya there.

He's *barely* hanging in there, Steve! These last few days have really been rough on him!

There's lots going on behind the scenes, I know! Lots of pressure and not enough help. I bet the ego-mometer breaks a main spring with all those Bowtie SuperCar owners, and SuperCar-enthusiasts all having dinner at the same table. Joel said he's excited to be there with his ol' Motion crew. WOW...50 1st genie SuperCars in one spot. Awesome! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I would like to remind everyone that there is an outdoor show for any/all Musclecars at the same time as the indoor happenings.

Also, the Musclecars are encouraged to attend the track Friday and partake in a little racing! It won't be anything organized at the track, pretty much just a test 'n' tune, but I can guarantee it will be a VERY laid back atmosphere.

See you all there!

5-day countdown! I talked with Joel Rosen and Marty Schorr a couple days ago. They both seem excited about attending the show. When was the last time 6-8 Motion built cars were photographed with Mr Motion in the foreground? It WILL happen this Friday, then perhaps never again.

Thanks to Tom and Rob Clary for pulling-off this truly historical moment in BowTie MuscleCar history! 3rd time's the charm, Rob! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I spoke with Joel Rosen this afternoon. His bag is packed and he seemed very excited about attending/participating in the Reunion events. He won't arrive early enough on Friday to attend the raceway events, but will be the featured speaker at the Friday banquet. Dinner with MrMotion...unbelievable! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

$100 to the person who posts a sign on the bridge crossing the Mississippi (west to east) pointing the way to Collinsville by way of straight through East St Louis.

Ankle bracelet is pretty long, heck if it can reach Alaska it can reach the reuion and all points inbetween. graemlins/waving.gif

DjD did you sign up for the webcast of the drag racing event on the Yenko site? They can only fit 12 people and they only have 4 signed in.

I think you should just go ahead and make the trip, Jeff. The post office poster I saw only offered $50 Reward. I know my silence, and most others here, can be bought for a 12 pak. ;)

Seriously though...I wish all you guys could attend the show. It IS going to be an event not soon duplicated. Just the gathering of the Chevy MuscleCars would inspire an enthusiastic attendance. Then add 50++ SuperCars and you think...WOW! Then add MrMotion [and 6 other of his original M/P crewmembers] as the featured speaker and show participant...well, that adds a new chapter to Muscle History Books. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I think Jeff C. can help you watch the event[s] from your PC monitor through some sort of simul-cast video process. For a small fee [I think] you can view the event and never leave your couch.

See ya there...it's time to load and go!

PS: I just heard from "Chevy454" that Charlie will not be able to attend. Too bad Clill, I had "something" to give you at the show that I picked up 4-5 months ago. I didn't want to ship it, for fear of losing/damaging it. You gonna like! :D :D

A gentleman is thinking of bringing a portable dyno possibly Friday and/or Saturday. I'm probably gonna give it a go with the Camaro if possible.

Would anyone be intersted in this? If so, shoot me an email ASAP.

Hey Rob...maybe I'll strap the 02 ZL1 down and see what she pulls. Haven't broken anything since the Seattle show graemlins/clonk.gif

only thing broken in the Seattle show what the heart of the little Red Head that wanted a ride in the 02.

Heres a post from the Yenko Site that I posted. LV posted a lot of pics of the cars in the show there as well
------------------
Just wanted to take the time and say Mahalo to Tom and company and the rest of the car owners that brought out their cars. Though I didnt make it to this years, reunion, my sister and her son along with 2 other boys did make the 5 hour drive down from Freeport at the North end of the state. She called and said it was an awesome site to see just how well these cars have been taken care of and that the boys had a hard time sleeping last night (Friday) knowing they were going to come down to the show. They had just gotten done playing a varsity football game and all wanted to hit the road right after the game. So if you saw some gal with some high School boys drouling all over your cars, I guess you could say they belong to me.

I would also like to take the time and send out a big Aloha and Mahalo to Helen Gibb who my sister got to talk with for a bit and who the boys fell in love with. She took time to sign some items for them and do a short interview that will be made into a school project along with the show itself. Mrs. Gibb my hats off to you and the time you spent with them. If you ever get to Hawaii, please make sure you let me know, now matter what island you go to.

Mr Steve Sandlin--(LVCAMARO) What can be said when 3 pumped up farm boys from Northern Illinois get a ride of their lifetime in your cars. (69 ZL1/COPO RS and 02 ZL1) Donna ssid they were still talking about the rides and the cars at the show when I talked with her on the phone at 11 PM Central Time. The rides will be the talk of the town and might even get the owner of the 69 Famthom Green Yenko camaro to bring out his car thats he has had since the mid 70's.

That said car guys/gals are the best and to all the other owners that took the time and talked with my sis and the boys, mahalo also.

Next year, Ill make the trip!!!

Next year huh Jeff? Well maybe if DjD and Al and Hiway Joe and Pozzi and BillK and others want to make the trip, should we call it the Moderator Roundup? Id come for sure.
