Did anybody see on TVland the top ten TV cars of all time.Would you agree or diagree on the top ten.Is there cars that should have been on the list that was missing.

i loved it. batmobile kiks ass. and i too had a hard time choosing between magnum and crocketts ferraris.

Well at least Magnums Ferrari was real. Can't be said for either the Daytona, or Testarossa that was used in Miami Vice. They were both Replicas, the Daytona was a vette with an automatic transmission. Love those 4 speed sound tracks.

Ferrari gave Tom Sellick Ferrarris every year that show was on because sales skyrocketed for the 308 when magnum was on.

Did the two Chuck Barris Munsters cars make the list? Those were cool. A month or so ago they had the Munsters show where Herman drag raced one of Eddie's friend's Dads for pinks. Cool to see all the classics at the drag strip.

Two words "General Lee" well four "Daisy Dukes"

Ahhhhh The Munsters 1 was the Horse Drawn Herse conversion and one was a Coffin i remember thos they were way cool and Monogram had Models of them both that you could buy and build smile.gif

I have not sat down and watched the Munsters in 20 + years UNTIL I sat down and watched that episode where Herman drag raced the Family Truckster and lost it to the"Evil" drag racing dude. The Munster Coffin' is still the coolest (IMHO)custom Barris ever did. And it was cool to see all of the the rail dragsters too. Does anybody know where that Dragway is? graemlins/thumbsup.gif

For me, I still think the Yellow Charger Peter Fonda drove in "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" was the baddest Street Machine that ever hit the big screen smile.gif

I always liked the on/off blower setup in the "Mad Max The Road Warrior" car.

I forgot what kind of car it was (probably a mix of various ones) but I always thought it was cool. Too bad it died in the movie . . .

I just caught the end of the top ten. I figured the "General Lee" was going to be no 1.

Eric68 -I remember reading an article about the car used in the Mad Max movies and someone has it but it is restored to the way it was in the second movie - you know, with the fuel tanks sticking out the back. Still think it is one of the coolest "movie cars" out there.

The operator/promoter, Pappi (? - don't remember his name) passed away last June I read in one of the magazines. He was a cool guy, used to ride the pits on his little scooter/bike and chat with all the racers. Used to get our "winning" $ from his wife after the races, don't know if she's still around or not.

I'm kinda partial to the Sanford's PU - I drove one real close to it...

C J "Pappy" Hart died in June 2004 and his wife Peggy Hart died in 1980. I used to see him at the Winternationals and World Finals riding around in his golf cart talking to everybody. He was a really nice guy - even to us lowly stock class (Q,M & S) racers. He'd stop by and ask if we liked the schedule, how we though the track conditions were & etc... Always made us feel as if they cared if we showed up or not. So different than the other local meets - you paid you money and ran your car when they got around to you on the schedule graemlins/sad.gif
Sorry to hear his wife passed so long ago - they were a great pair.
I'm sure, knowing his nature, that he stayed busy even in his later years.
