I just hooked up all the electrical on my car and im having a problem with my stater. The only wire if found comming from the ignition was a yellow one so I assumed that was the on that went to the starter an was alway hot. Now when I go to turn the car over the starter cranks in the on position but not in the start positon. I would really like some help on this cause if i get it finished all i have to do is get in a drive.
Thanks for any replys.
Ethan

Make sure you are connected to the 'S' terminal on the starter solenoid and not the 'R' terminal.

The yellow wire provides power to the ignition coil in the start position to bypass the resistor wire and gives the coil a full 12 volts during cranking. The starter solenoid wire is a 12 guage purple wire that comes from the ignition switch via the park/neutral switch.
