What is the trick to removing an ignition switch bezel on a 68 camaro?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Todd

Hey Todd, what you want to do is take a paper clip or a needle or something like it and put it in the hole that is on the face of the ignition switch, and then push in as you turn it with the key.

they make a tool to remove the bezels, there are three slots around the sides and the tool is basically a cirlce with three pins designed to slide into those slots. Makes removing simple but it is by no means necessary seeing as the bezel is just screwed on....

Turn the key to "accessory", then insert the end of the paper clip in the hole against mild spring pressure, and keep turning the key counter-clockwise, and the cylinder will pop right out; then you can unscrew the bezel and remove the switch. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
