I have been seeing deals like this on ebay lately. It is a SCAM from what I hear. I know a couple of guys who fell into this trap. The seller always posts HAVE TO BE A PRE APPROVED BIDDER FIRST. Then rips off a picture from a website or someone elses auction and post it. This link is an example of it.

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/w...2469658056

Here they list a 68 ss convertible BIG BLOCK one of 915 made for a buy it now price of 9995. YEA RIGHT. People believe it click on the buy it now price in which they will be required to SEND A DEPOSIT FIRST VIA MAIL to be pre approved, BEFORE they can pick up the car. GUESS WHAT YOU NEVER HEAR OR SEE THEM AGAIN AFTER THE DEPOSIT IS SENT!! They do it with all kinds of vehicles and always keep it under 15000. Why so the 10% deposit you send will stay under the 1500 dollar felony. So if they do get caught it is just a misdemeanor. DONT BE NEXT, Sad to say I know of two people that got caught in this mess. PLEASE FORWARD TO EVERYONE OUT THERE. LARRY IF YOU CAN POST A SPECIAL POST THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I know alot of pro tourers are always looking for deals on ebay but BUYER BEWARE, No one sells a 1 0f 915 BIG BLOCK CONVERTIBLE CAR in excellent condition for under 10,000!!! Gives ebayers a bad name

Posted it last night. EBAY PULLED IT THIS MORNING. That is why it is coming up invalid.BUYER BEWARE. IF you see an auction with MUST BE A PRE APPROVED BIDDER at the top for a car that has a price that is way too good to be true. DONT TOUCH IT OR AT LEAST RESEARCH IT THOROUGHLY. Usually if its too good to be true, probably is. ALSO They HIJACK user IDS to give the appearance that they are legitimate ebayers with good feedbacks. Unfortunatley it leaves the honest ebayers at risk for their reputation to be damaged. If someone is for real, they should provide a phone number for you to contact them. If not, STAY AWAY. If they give you a working number, do a reverse search on it on the web. There is a way you can take a persons phone number and get their address from it on the web. I know I sound paranoid, but like I said, know two people who have been gaphed already. Dont want to see anyone else get gaphed as well.

Thanks
Mark
