Hi, can someone help me with a porblem I have. My 68 SS 350 is lacking the air cleaner tube that goes from under the snorkle to the exhaust manifold. Have a tube from a 2 barrel but it looks too long. Does the Factory 4 barrel take a different tube? Does anyone know where I might can get a nos or good used one?

Thanks

First off - Welocom to TEAM CAMARO ! graemlins/hurray.gif

If memory (shaky thing these days) serves me correctly the 2 and 4 barrel riser tubes are bent different and the lengths differ.
These riser tubes were used on other model Chevrolet cars and trucks (besides Camaro) and are usually available by seaching among an engine family, such as Small Block 327 & 350's with simular equipment, like auto/manual trans and 4 barrel Rochester carbs, at wrecking yards.
I have found many car and truck parts that were not available from the "repoppers" this way.
The only commercial outlets that might have the right one would be people that specialize in parting out and reselling Camaro/Chevelle and other parts.
I don't have a local Texas recommendation for you ( I have a brother in the Georgetown hill country -but, he collects Dodge trucks... )but, I can give you some numbers near me if you need them.
I'm sure there are some local Austin/Dallas area Camaro people on here that may chime in with contacts or recommendations for you.

Hope this helped some;

John

Manual trans cars didnt have this tube to the heat riser. They had just plain snorkels.

Hey John, I just noticed you're in Moraga. I guess I'm not the only guy here from Lamorinda. :D

Jeff.
Sorry for the late reply - I`m in Germany right now on my way back from France and it`s tough to find a connection at times.
I live in the `cheap seats`of Moraga/Lamorinda - near the High School (miramonte).
