Back in their day, they were considered hi-performance with 2.02" intake valves. But by today's standards, there are much better designs.

Ya - by todays standards they're junk.

and if they are still in serviceable condition are decent heads. Don't spend more than $500 for the pair (to include any necessary machine work!) or you will be losing out on better performance.

The Vortec heads are much better and can be had for the $500 mentioned above, but you will then have to spring for incidentals (self aligning rockers, different intake, center bolt valve covers).

What amazed me was that the old camel-humps trounced the World S/R Torquers on the Danger Mouse series of testing.. Bottom line, I would pick a pair of used, in good bolt-on condition, set of camel humps before I bought a new set of World Torqers..

Otherwise-Vortecs!

And if money were no object-AFR's!
