I have a Oregon 1967 {dealer} license plate #1236-A. Could the DMV trace this back to the original dealership this plate was issued too. thanks smile.gif

I'm not a DMV worker but I am in law enforcement and I know how my state operates. If the dealership is still in operation and the state has not changed their numbering system, it is possible. In Missouri the dealer numbers have been the same since the 50's. The only exception is that when one dealership sells out or goes out of business, that number is reissued. Records of the old number holder are only maintained for 5 years. Good Luck
