Joe Harrison Nov 12th, 04, 07:36 PM Check the auto parts store for that exact application. 69,disc, no power and see what you come up with. I am pretty sure they came from the factory like that. Joe Kyvox Nov 12th, 04, 08:04 PM 67 was the only year that had non-power disc. Should work for yours. Joe Harrison Nov 12th, 04, 08:40 PM That's why I thought they came from the factory with non-power. I have a 67. Sorry for the bumm info. Joe dnult Nov 13th, 04, 10:44 AM Try asking this question in the brakes and suspension forum. There are probably some good search results there as well. A guy name David Pozzi hangs out there - his web site and posts are full of usefull information. What you end up with will depend on your disc calipers (pistons and size). For example, a 1969 style disk caliper will work best with a 15/16" or 7/8" master cylinder. But you're probably going to find that most master cylinders that are built for disc brakes are larger than 1". There are a couple of trends that have emerged to try and work around this problem. One is a master cylinder from an S10 pickup. But the mod requires some machining and may even have metric threads. Another popular mod is hydro-boost, but it ain't cheap. Guys who run low vacuum and can't use a traditional booster setup and really like hydro-boosters. I modified a factory 1969 disc brake caliper / booster setup to use the manual brake position hole in the pedal. Works quite nice with the 10" of vacuum my motor produces. SS383 Nov 13th, 04, 03:30 PM Thanks guys, I'm using 88 2wd S10 calipers. I looked through my catalogs didn't see any master cyl. listed for 67 manusl disc HwyStarJoe Nov 13th, 04, 05:00 PM AutoZone: 1967 Camaro front disc brakes..... Fenco Reman master cyl.
