This looks to be one of the new REPRO shifters being produced. The Ebay ad doesn't really say it's repro but look what someone paid for it. I get them for about $350.00 CDN. And the handle is not correct.

Jim,
I'm not sure if it's a reproduction or not. But, I will not bid on any of those "private" Ebay auctions, too many chances for schill bidding!

Well I had a look at the new repro shifter this morning and it looks exactly the same. Straight handle at the bottom (should kink a little left), bolted on handle and screw in stops. The picture looks like it even has the original tie wrap Mr. G puts in them at the factory. I sent this guy an Email asking if it was a repro and I didn't get a reply.

The ad says "brand new"....I don't think there is any hanky-panky going on. It's clearly an aftermarket shifter--the stops tell that tale. As for the handle, it is similar to the originals, but the flats are too pronounced.
$433 for aftermarket? GaryL please send me some more cash smile.gif

I'll bet the guy who paid $455.00 for it thinks it's NOS.

Jim,
I agree the ad is deceiving and incorrect. If it is a reproduction part it should be clearly stated that it is a reproduction. The ad states that it is correct round bar shifter for 68 and 69 Camaro which is incorrect. 1968 Camaro used the Muncie shifter.

The shifter looks like a replacement shifter with the stop bolts in it. The handle looks like a 5324 GTO which is very similar to a 5325 Camaro handle but a little longer. This shifter was up for auction a week or two ago and didn't meet reserve. The ad doesn't state "Camaro round handle" but just "factory round handle" which would be correct. Somewhat misleading but not misrepresented.
But that's just my opinion. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
