Hello All, I am trying to determine what engine mounting brackets I need and where to get them for a '67 and a 350 engine. Both of my orgininal ones are cracked. These are the brackets that sit between the frame and the motor mounts.
I found a pair at year one (part number CD59LH and CD59RH). Will these work for all small block engines? Really I am trying to determine if all small blocks are the same. I am planning to put a GM ZZ4 350 crate motor in my '67.
Also, what motor mounts do you recommend?
TIA,
Tom

You can pick up either small block or big block mounts at www.nationalpartsdepot.com (http://www.nationalpartsdepot.com)
As for whether the mount work with newer blocks I wont go there as I've not been dealing with new motors where I can comment on the mount locations.

Hi Tom and welcome to the site!
All I can add is my experience with my Chevelle.
When I changed engines I found out that the frame mounts for the original 307 wouldn't fit the new engine mounts for the 350 I was installing. The frame mounts for a 350 are lower by approx. 1/4 inch. to compensate for the thicker rubber of the 350 engine mounts.I was told that the 307 and the 327 are the same(higher ones).I got the lower ones at one of the repo suppliers for older cars. I'm in Ontario Canada so they won't help but I sure they are not hard to find but I was surprised that most suppliers didn't know there was a difference.Hope this helps.

67 uses the tall frame brackets, along with the thin motor mounts. I have the GM parts list on my web page below along with motor mount info.
I strongly recomend using the interlocking type replacement mounts. Even a stock 275hp 327 can rip the stockers apart.
