I want to put Hooker Headers on my 68 camaro with a 350.But the lower mounting bracket is attached to the stock exhaust manifold.Do they sell some kind of aftermarket bracket,If they do I can't find it!
Thanks Ralph

hooker sent me the bracket when i bought a set of super comps, it bolts to the front exhaust bolts, and works the same as factory from there. they also sell them i'm sure. its ok at best though, tough accessing the bolts, but its solid and works. there are a couple guys here that are using a gm factory part that bolts to the head, in place of the bracket on the header. its nice and clean, i'm planning on doing that with mine eventually. do a search in the performance section for "alternator bracket", something should turn up.
oh, and welcome to team camaro graemlins/beers.gif

That bracket will get you by, but they're nasty. I've had 4 break in 5 years. Within the last month, I ran a post in "performance" on alternate brackets for driver side short pump appl, search and you will find. A number of excellent suggestions were made, and I'll use one of them. If your heads have accessory holes in front, I'd suggest that route. If they don't, shoot me a l;ine, last time I broke a header mount bracket, I bought 2, you can have the spare for postage.

What part number headers are you guys running? I looked through the Hooker and Hedman web sites and I have never seen so many footnotes on what header fits what application. You would think there wouldn't have to be that many different headers for a 68 camaro. Happy Holidays!!!
