I am thinking of putting Flowmasters on my newly acquired '69 Z28. The car has headers and the original style system now. I can get a custom job done locally for $400 or by kit number 17139 from Summit. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I put the Crossflow setup on my Z and loved it.

I have the 17139 on my '68. The tail pipes are totally gorgeous! The system fit well and was easy to install, and included all the hangers and clamps to get it on. It's held up well for 5 years so far. I'd recommend welding the joints in the front, 3 on each side where it bends out to the headers, plus the h-pipe, I clamped em, then drove to a muf\fler shop and had them weld it, then took the clamps off. After cutting, fitting, & clamping, I took it all off, and painted everything except the SS tips with hi-temp silver, most of it is still there.

The supplied Delta 40's are considered a lil noisy by most. If I get to it, I'm gonna replace them with Dynomax to quiet things down.

Hey Tim, it's been a while. I've been in and around Tim's car and it sounds great.
I installed the Flowmaster kit on my previous Z/28 with headers and LOVED it. Mine was the duel muffler kit with stainless tips. It was very easy to install. I'd recommend it.

Hey Grag,

I bought the Flowmaster American Thunder system from Summit. Fits good, looks good and sounds good. It's has all mandrel bends, uses all of the factory hangers and comes with all of the hardware required. Every time you buy something for your car you have to cross your fingers and hope the quality is there and this kit was worth every penny and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.
