Hello
I know this is for older camaro's but I have a 1985 Camaro and need to know where the RPO list is for it. I know GM makes a label with all the options on a sticker and than hides it somewhere. This label is suppose to aid in getting service parts. Also how does one decipher the codes stamped on the rear axle tube to tell what gear ratio and posi or not without removing the cover. Thanks for any info on this.

Some cars have it, some dont. Usually it is found in the console glove compartment pasted to the underside of the console door. It may be pasted somewhere where you can see it inside the console compartment. The gear ratio will be in these codes.

Check under your driver seat, in the springs. Usually all cars have the buildsheet there.

This is for 3rd gens from what I have seen.

What are your rear axle code numbers?

I did ck the glove box and it was not there, not on the door or the box itself. As far as the codes on the rear end go, My rear diff is no good and was wanting to find a posi one out of the bone yard and was wanting to know how to read
the axle ratio and posi or not with out taking the cover off.
thanks
