Hi all, Posted this in the Suspension section of the Forum but thought I would ask here as well. I'm in the process of finishing up the restoration of my 69 Z-28(w/power steering and pwr disk brakes & #'s matching Dz 302)and am getting ready for the front coil springs.Want to keep this as stock looking as it came from the factory as possible.
I see a lot of talk about the Moog 6308 springs and see that Rick's has some repro springs.
Does anyone have a pic they could share of a 69 with 6308's on it. Does anyone have a clue as to which spring set from Ricks is set up for a standard ride height for a Z-28 w/ the pwr steering and pwr disk breaks. Has anyone tried the Ricks repro springs? Any pics?
Need some help here guys.
Thanks,
Mike

Heartbeatcity.net claims to be reproducing "exact" front coil springs for 69's. You may want to check over there, but as with any reproduction, be careful. I have found repro springs and exact ride heights to be a major problem

I put the 6308 springs under my RS/Z, but the engine is not in yet. It seems the consensus was it would ride a little lower than stock, which was OK with me. Somewhere, maybe on CRG, there were photos of cars with these springs.

I went with springs from Eaton Detroit Springs for the front/rear replacements for my '68Z. They look/fit exactly like the originals and are custom made to your specific application. The ride height of my car is within .125" of that specified in the assembly manual. Their pricing was very competitive as well.
