On some or all(???)69 Camaros there is a rubber piece around the Front Sway Bar, held in place by a flat metal "strap" clamp......If amybody knows what I'm talking about; 1) What was the purpose of this clamp/rubber 2) Does any company or private party repop the strap or rubber, BEFORE I do??
Thanks, Chuck S, Seattle

I have noticed that ALL Z28,s as well as Big block cars have this strap, although most base cars do not. I think it might be to stop the sway bar from moving sideways in the bsgs. upon hard cornering.

My 69 base, 350 4-sp has these as well, so I don't think
it was restricted to BB or Z machines

My car has them (03E X-33). I also have the 4 fingered sway bar bushing brakets, and cannot seem to find the correct rubber bushings for that either. So I plan to re-use the other ones you are talking about, and keep looking for the actual correct sway bar bushings themselves. I had also heard the other devices your talking about are to limit latteral travel of the bar. graemlins/beers.gif
