Well things are starting to come together on the 68Z. I am getting ready to order exhaust and was wanting some suggestions. What is the best fitting "original" exhaust system and what did it cost you? I am wanting to go with the aluminized system and maybe with a good sounding muffler likr Flowmaster that sits in the original location and still dumps out in the original location. Any suggestions? Thanks Team Camaro

I have used gardiner exhaust a couple of times on 68Z's. Pipes are done beautifully, I don't know what they are using for a muffler currently, as it has been a couple of years. They also offer a hanger kit, which is pretty much an aftermarket kit, and the clamps are right and you can get hardware that is coated to prevent rust. I haven't bought a system in a couple of years, but I bet the current price for the whole thing with the rust resistant hardware is 600+

Gardner makes a beautiful system. Last year, they quoted me approx $500 for a complete aluminized system for my pace car which is a very similar to a Z/28. Double that price for a chambered system.

I forgot that a friend of mine used Garner for his 70 LS6 Chevelle. I'll give them a call. Thanks for the info.

I had an opportunity to take a photo of a Gardner dual exhaust system on my 67Z after we loaded the car on a lift. Looks great, correct, and installs in about 30-60 minutes with a pair of wrenches. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
