What kind of adhesive is used to attach the checkered flag emblem to the z28 valve covers? Another quick question: I read that camaros did not recieve the blue GM sticker that is attached to the door next to the tire pressure sticker. Is this true?

I think the decal is a peel and stick type. I bought a pair of NOS valve covers a while back and the decal had already fallen off in the box. I used some epoxy to reattach it and so far, so good.

The door jamb sticker is a fun thing to check out. Jerry M. says they were not used on 68 or 69 Camaros but they were used on and off on 67's. If you want more evidence, check the assy manual. They do not list that "GM" sticker but they do list the others.

The "caution fan" sticker is wrong as well but that does not stop some resto houses from selling them. Lots of folks go sticker crazy when restoring these cars. I have a coolant sticker on my radiator support that probably does not belong there but oh well! ;)
