Q? Does anyone know if the SS396 and SS 350 snorkle air cleaner is the same? If they aren't, what are the differences? Anyone got any ideas/pictures to see the difference?

Not sure if they used they same cleaner for both models or not ???
The Q-Jet models may have been...

My 1967 used a single snorkle with a Chrome Lid (I still have it as I sold the car with a "Open" style on it) that had a small 'breather' inside for the cranckcase connection - not sure if only the CA cars had this type or not.

67 396/325HP has a shorter snorkel than the 350/295HP. the 396/375 was an open element type air cleaner.

Is this one for a 396 then?

Think that looks identical to the one I have from my 350/295h.
I'll have to look in the shop to be sure.

What are the lengths of each? I have an original that I want ot get rid of and want to know the application. Anyone have an original 396 one?

Does the bottom look the same also? My car doesn't have PCV or smog and would this air cleaner be correct then?

The snorkle is 11" from the base to the opening. Does this look right also?

My 67 350/295HP snorkel is 11 inch's. So the 396/325HP would be shorter, are you looking for 396 or 350?

The bottom on a 396/325HP with out A.I.R (smog pump) would be sealed and the PVC would be in left side valve cover with hose running to front of Q-jet carb.

Anyone else got inputs on their air cleaner snorkle size? Is 11" the correct length?
