I have a 69 SS with the endura bumper VE3. I have the original jack, load rest and special bracket for loadrest with VE3 stamped on it. The problem is someone separated the bracket from the loadrest. I understand they were originally riveted together. Does anyone have an original loadrest and can share a picture of the front and back side of the rivet. If a picture is not available could someone describe to me the rivet, the direction it was installed and if it had a washer on it before the head was formed. I know this is an odd request but it is a numbers matching car.
Thanks

Jim,
Has your load rest been repainted? I was never sure if the whole assembly was blue, or just the VE3 brace.

Yes I repainted it at the same time I did the dash inside, with interior blue. This is NOT original color for the load rest at all.
Im not even sure what color is should be, guessing satin black or gray.

I know the VE3 add-on should be blue ( a little lighter than your pic. I'm just not sure if the VE3 piece and standard load rest were painted seperately, and then riveted, or riveted, and then painted. I have an original load rest, and a repop brace, and haven't figured out how to paint them.
