Am restoring a set of 5 leaf springs from my 69. Does anyone know where I can get/make a "correct" replacement for the bolt that holds them together?

If you are talking about the bolt that pierces the leaves right through the middle of the leaves under the axle.......I bought them from D & R, they are made out of hardened steel I believe and should be better than using a regular bolt.

Any spring shop could probably help. I don't think anything is special about them. When my springs were re-arched they put one in. Once the spring is installed you never see it again.

A grade 8 socket head capscrew will do the trick. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
