I have tried a couple sets of the soffseal rubber bumpers for the trunk lid of my '68. Both sets are the same and cause the lid to be higher than the tops of the rear quarters on the car. My old bumpers were smashed thin from years of use and the lid fit great. BTW: The lid fits great now without the rubber bumpers installed. Anyone have this same problem? How did you resolve this problem? Thanks!

The real ones are thin. The repros are junk. I think there is or was a set on ebay this week.

Anyone know of correct thickness bumpers that can be bought?

I ground mine down with a bench grinder.
