Anyone know how to buff out a wiper scrape on a windshield? Can it be done? If so can I do it myself or do I take it to a professional? Don't really want to replace the windshield, but have heard that these scrapes can be removed. Any ideas?

Usually if you can feel it with your finger nail you cant buff it out. Eastwood sells a kit for buffing scratches out of glass. You have to be careful and not over heat the glass when buffing it as it will crack.

Eastwood's kit does work. They only give you three discs, 1 coarse, 1 medium and 1 fine. Here are the 3M medium and fine discs:

After using the 3M discs you need to buff the glass with rheodite (sp??) compound or some other glass polish.
I took some significant scratches out of the 67 ragtop glass, but it takes a loooonnng time AND you have to keep the glass wet so as not to overheat and warp it. So it's a major PITA being wet and polishing on each piece of glass forever! It does work though....
