I'm going to have my car repainted over the winter. My Z28 Paint Code is RR, Matador Red W/ Black Strip. Where can I purchase the correct paint??

Any reputable paint shop should be able to cross reference that paint code.I had my 68 Z repainted British green,code ZZ they came up w/ a perfect match though the color was called jewel mica green.I would think the red would be an easy match.

Hey Daytona welcome to TC.... Since you are looking for the correct color match to the orig that was on your car, you may be interested to learn your car was most likely a white stripe car from the factory. There are others better versed in this than I but looking on the CRG site (see link below) and from what I have been understanding, dark stripes usually wern't put on dark cars. Having a black vinyl top would have got them on your car...

If you haven't been introduced to the CRG, ( www.camaros.org (http://www.camaros.org) ) they are trying to present only known facts and dispell the many incorrect facts published already...

Hey Dennis....thanks for the info @ my stripe. After reading the book of our savior, Jerry (Z-28)MacNeish, you are correct! I will paint a white stripe upon the repaint.
