Okay fellas - I just finished putting together a Table of Contents for the 1968 Camaro Assembly Instruction Manual (Blue Cover) and would like to help everyone out by providing a copy. Send me an email at bburkert@gmail.com and I'll send one right away. All I ash is that you tell me what you think and any corrections needed.

I was tired of constant flipping looking for diagrams. I'm working on a Parts Index but that is a bit more involved.

Waiting to hear from ya!

Thanks. I can never find anything in that thing when I need it. This should be a big help

WOW, did u really do that? How many years did it take? And you'll share it with us? You are truly a gentleman and a scholar, and if we ever meet, I'm buying the beer. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent trying to find something in the d*mned book!

My email will be on the way Monday, my thanks are here new!

GM indexed all the base car parts in sections in the Assembly Manual with a simple parts classification system (simple if you worked with them all your life like I did):

1 = Body Trim, Instrument Panel, Heater, Wipers
2 = Frame
3 = Front Suspension
4 = Rear Suspension & Prop Shaft
5 = Brakes
6 = Engine
7 = Clutch & Transmission
8 = Fuel & Exhaust
9 = Steering
10 = Wheels & Tires
11/13 - Front Sheet Metal & Radiator
12 = Electrical
14 = Bumpers

All optional parts are indexed by the RPO Number in the Options Section.

i've got little sticky notes hanging out like index markers with the item marked on them. a bit dog-earred now but man i know what you mean about not finding something when you need to. when i come across something i know i'll be getting to soon i "tag" it.
