Were the factory headlamp bezels molded in only a single color? If the car was an SS did it get sprayed black and likewise for non-ss argent silver?

If your car had a black grill the bezel was black. If you had a argent silver grill the bezel would then be argent silver.

Dave, I think the questions are:
1. Were the argent bezels molded in off-white plastic (like argent grilles), and painted argent?
2. Were all bezels molded in the same color, and painted black or argent based on SS or non-SS?

That's it Gary. Were they molded as the grilles were?

My original argent headlight bezels have paint rubbing off and show white underneath. Hope this helps.

Original grilles are molded in either argent silver or black. All 1969 Non RS, Non SS cars got argent silver standard grilles. All Non black SS's got black standard grilles. All non black RS's got black RS grilles. Black SS's and RS's got Argent silver Grilles.

GM discontinued the argent silver grilles years ago, and all the current repros are cast in black plastic.

There was only 2 part numbers (3935927-8 left/right) for standard grille headlight bezels as opposed to a total of 4 for the grilles and I believe these remained Argent Silver for all cars, even the SS's so they should be cast that way.

So it sounds like bezels were molded white and painted to match the grille.

Standard headlamp bezels were available with or without bright trim; there were 4 part numbers.
