On a 69 camaro the faces of the gauge are brushed silver, yet on a nova they are black, correct? If so, is the gauge face color the only difference in the two sets of gauges?

Could a person buy the correct color face plates, swap them out and have a correct set of gauges?

One other question, my car has blue interior and console, does the gauge cover get painted blue or remain black?

68-69 Camaro gauges had silver faces; Novas were black. The faceplates interchange and could be swapped.

Later Novas used a voltmeter rather than an amp gauge; I do not believe Novas had a low fuel light.

The cover is always black. For the 68-69 Camaro it was glossy; service replacements were semi-gloss. The raised bead around the cover was flash-chromed.
