I can feel your pain man, one week does it for me. It's like I have never seen it before. I think it's a combo, old age and brain farting. I agree 100%.

My famous trick is to take something apart, and leaving the pieces on the floor, or maybe in a baggie. Don't need to document, cuz I'm putting it all back together tomorrow.........then I run into a snag, and six months later, I'm trying to remember just how the darned thing goes back together. My assembly manual is just about worn out. Held together with shipping tape down the spine.

I know what you mean. Ive been restoring cars for over a dozen years now (roughly half my life), and one thing I've learned is to not trust my memory. Im pretty good on most stuff, but I've definately learned to recognize the stuff that I know will slip my memory. So I take notes/diagrams of the stuff I know I'll need to remember/will forget and put them in the baggies with the parts/hw.

Just a tip: Separate your stuff into baggies as much as you can. Dont try to put several parts or areas worth of stuff into one bag. Who cares if theres only a couple bolts in a bag, theyre cheap enough.

Zip Lock baggies, Zip Lock Freezer bags, sharpies, and a digital camera. Legal pads, and photos. They last longer than my memory. I also have the assembly manual and Fischer Body manual.
