My 68 RS convertible is all original and heavily documented (POP, build sheet, original window sticker etc.) The driver's side floor pan is rusted out under the pedals. I bought a new pan but I have never welded anything in my life. I am a handy guy and I am restoring the car. I'm sure I could learn but I would have to buy all the equipment and such. Is it better to just take it to someone who does this all the time? The dash pan needs to be welded in as well. I just don't want to screw it up. Any advice would be appreciated.

That’s pretty thin metal to be learning on. It’s easy to warp and/or burn big holes in it if you’re not familiar with welding…
