Windows XP.....
This is killing me guys.
I think I have the W32/mydoom virus. my email is full of returned mail that I never sent out/don't even know the sender. My Mcafee keeps poping up with the alert "Bargin Buddy" I need to click on the window (do not allow) 10 times before it goes away and then returns. By the way I "end the process" through my task manager, but it keeps returning.
1 more thing, An error window comes up on my start up with C:\program files\IEsearchbar.dll
and says: an error occurred while trying to replace the existing file...
I'm so fed up with all these viruses that I feel like shooting this PC and start over and get a new one....
Any help???

Go to this site --> http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.novarg.a@mm.removal.tool.html and read the page over. Download the removal tool and run it. Make sure to disable system restore first. Good luck.

You might try this site as well: Trend Micro (http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/personal.htm)

I used Trend Micro (http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/personal.htm) just yesterday on my wife's PC at her shop. I only have dial up but at 52,000 bps it loaded fast. I did the scan and everything checked out fine. I tried it last night here at the house but it wouldn't download due to only having 33,600 bps and this antique pc. I have Nortons here at home but I haven't paid for the new subscription for updates. I am just careful with email and try not to 'surf' too much.
