I keep reading that you have to separate the window from the regulator to get the rear quarter assemblies out(69 coupe). I can't figure out how to get the window off the regulator track and I don't want to break anything. Can anyone direct me to the best way to remove it?
Thanks,
John

Mark the positions of the mounting track to give a starting point when you put it back together...
1) remove or loosen vertical track (it should slide down and out of glass rollers)
2) roll window about 3/4 down (Hold glass, so it doesn't drop or tip)
3) remove regulator bolts
4) push the reg back and out of the window track ( you may have to move window up or down to get it all the way out).
here's the Gm Part # 7794097 Group 11.007 for the replacement roller 1/4 glass coupe or convert 67-69

Thanks Gene- I got the whole thing out no problem!
How do you replace those rollers- the nylon "wheels"? They don't look like they unscrew or anything.
Thanks,
John

Look on the back side of the roller... the flat "washer" with holes is threaded. Rick's 1gen sells a tool ( HW-26 About $8.75) to remove them or you can make one from scrap metal and a couple of grade 8 bolts.
