I just purchased the RS closing headlight kit for my 69 convertible. Today I read in Popular Hot Rodding about a camaro where they removed all the hydraulics and switched over to an electric mechanism. Does anybody know anything about this? And am I asking this question in the right section? Thanks.

Really couldn't tell you that. I would've put it in Camaro Tech, but the moderator could tell you more.
Hope that link helps,

Kinda hard to say whether headlights would be body, or electrical, or plain tech! I'd have to say body, but what do I know?

There is a guy selling plans for it on Ebay. He has pictures and details for using either motors from a 87-90 Lebaron or early 90's New yorker. Give me a day or two and I will email you the info I bought from him. (hmmm it is mine now... I guess it is legal as long as I am not trying to make anything from it.) Yeah... Thats my story and I am sticking with it..

I will post the stuff here... Maybe tomorrow. I will scan all the text and pictures.

Later...

The information is on my Site on page 2... Take a look. It sounded very feasible to me. I have not had a chance to get the motors and make the conversion. But I have a junk yard where I know I can get them.

Let me know what you all think.

Great Info, thanx.

No Problem... Let me know what you think of the details in the directions?

I appreciate it. My Camaro is not RS but I want to change it to RS. Do I have to weld brackets onto the fenders or what is the procedure? I have a factory assembly book. So I can telll what I need.

Thanks for any info.. Glad to help out.

I have converted my RS headlights on my 69. I have some pic's and it's not that hard nor complex. And works a ton better with some options in the operation of the doors. If you'd like to get more info. just drop me a IM or Mail (mogmiler@aol.com)
