I'm looking at a new trunk lid who makes a good one?? Is the one sold under the OER name a good quality lid? I also see Heartbeat City is selling a so called perfect model anyone know anything about theirs or is someone else selling a high quality lid without much fan fare? My reason is I bought a 69 Trans Am spioler and I want to set it on a new lid, paint it all up and have the ability to change back and forth between th Camaro spoiler and the TA model

Well, I have one of the OER truck lids...that is officially licensed by GM...I think the quality of it is very good...much better than using a beat up and patched up original. I see no problems with it...it fits my car good and seems like a quality piece. I have seen the new american made ones you are talking about advertised, but I don't know anything about them...I am sure they are good too. I guess you would really just have to compare them side by side to know which is better, but for the price and quality, I couldn't be happier with the OER lid.

I used a dynacorn which I thought was very good except I had to grind out the latch holder to move my original latch plate over to the new lid. No big deal.
