Based on the info provided this one may have had a VIN tag swap. No way an 11A build has a N602145 VIN.

Interesting how much detail the seller gives on all the date codes. Kinda like overcompensation to conceal that its a fake. There was an ebay 66 Chevelle SS discussed on Team Chevelle that was a suspected restamp, and the seller there also described date codes in much detail.

If you look closely, at the top of the trim tag, you can see the faint outline of the previous tag.

Yes it is possible, but not likely. Tach was not a required option with Z/28. Car sure has a lot of correct parts on it. Must have been a wrecked donor car and a rebody.

if it is a re-body, why didn't he transfer the vin??

I have a documented Z/28 RS that is a 12B car and the Vin. starts with 560 and it has an X33 code. Something doesn't add up. Looks like it may have been a real nics SS car at one time. Run Run Run away and take your money with you! 43 bids so far and only $10,000.00 It's probably worth that.

I have seen 3 or 4 real Z/28's without a tach. One was even an X33 RS Z/28..so it is possible

A tach was option until mid year sometime. To listen to some guys, they didn't need a tach. They just shifted when the points gave out. :eek:
