Just follow the instructions sheet that you can get from the dealer. 68RSZEE Mar 30th, 05, 11:25 AM Unbuffed lacquer looks right also. JimM Mar 30th, 05, 07:06 PM I used rattle can semi-gloss laquer (as sold by the repro houses, in colors matching their "soft part paint") 67CAMAROSS Mar 30th, 05, 09:51 PM just used rustoleum 777,my buddy has a 68 thats what he used. 68rs406 Mar 30th, 05, 10:06 PM i used oer's lacquer dash paint, it looks real good, lays down great. you cant tell it was applied with a bomb can. but, unfortunately i purchased a can recently for a couple of small pieces i needed to finish, and was informed they no longer sell the lacquer, due to a california pollution standard. they however sell a new "exact match" to the old stuff in a new non lacquer version. unfortunately it is not near the quality, and is a tottally diferent shade, (imagine that, a repro item that disappoints). so the moral is, i would look elsewhere now, and make sure its a semi gloss lacquer. i think toby keens' suggestion is the best bet now for sure. |
