Have a '68 project, already had the RH skin on and welded and the LH is cut out and I have a skin matched to it but not welded on yet. There is some rust holes up around the rear window also that need to be fixed. I don't know that I am sold on the rear qtr skins and am contemplating on just taking off both rear qtrs completely and installing new full rear quarters.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Why is it that the right thing to do is also the most exspensive? Full quarters certainly are the way to go. With the skins you have allot of body work to do to hide all the seams.

Full 1/4's are the way to go.

Even though I have to watch the $$$ spent, I'd rather pay the extra to have it done right the first time around.

if you put the skin's on at the top body seam almost no bodywork filler is needed and they cost a lot less

Well, one side is already done (was already done when I bought the car). It is welded at the seem, but actually looks pretty good from the outside. What I don't like is being able to see the overlap from in the trunk area.
