Well I just ran the bowes all the way in and split the diff., poked the tips of the bowes thrugh the pocket material.left plenty of room for pulling side to side and had a good three inches over hang on the sides . So I guess I am doing this right, don't know it is my first attempt.......

The bows get inserted just to the first bend, the first 1/2 inch of travel, just the hook end.

Go to Interiors and search there for further instructions.

When you get done, park it in the sun. It will help with the wrinkles, if any.

The repo headliners have extra length in them. The bows slide into pockets that are sewed to the headliner. These pockets are also to long for the rod. You will need to trim these back to allow enough of the end of the rod to stick out. If you dont do this the headliner material will pucker on the sides. I was fortunate enough to be able to compare the length of the pocket on my old headliner. If you get puckering on the sides, it's easy enough to go back and trin with a razor blade.

Quick question for those of you guys who have SUCESSFULLY put in a headliner, how many wrinkles were there in it when you finished glueing everything in place, pics would be best, ive got one side glued in place getting ready to get taught and glue the other side but it seems like theres still a lot of wrinkles in it.

*Page 4 on my sig has pics of mine it being dark with the flash makes everything look muuuuch worse than it is

None. I pulled front to back first, then went side to side. I stretched mine at least 3 times after letting it sit for days, weeks, months. I didnt glue iot until I got them out which wasnt that hard.

from your pics it look like the sleaves the headliner bows go into need to be slit at the outer ends (ONLY the sleave that the bow slides in!!! NOT the outer fabric) this allows you to pull the headliner side to side to get it tight. If you dont slit the sleaves, the liner slides to the end of the bows and can't go any farther and may or may not be tight.(as yours apears to be) Look at your old headliner and compare the sections were the bows run (distance from side seams to edge). Go slow and cut a half-inch or so at a time.

Yeah, I know, my timeframe could have been a day or two if I wouldnt have been so busy at work. One thing is that the sun helps also to heat up the headliner. Its okay to let it sit for a day or so and then go back and stretch it. Patience also helps.

I just got mine hung and cut, I wondered about the pucker at the sleeve ends and thought I'd check here first.

We're expecting clear and sunny tomorrow, should I let it sit for a while before I stretch it or glue up cold and then sit it in the sun?

I saw on another thread that letting the trim sit in the sun eases installation too. Two great ideas from Team Camaro/

Thanks guys,

Jim
