I just ordered these and wondered how you liked them. My other longtubes weren't made for a 69 Camaro. I ordered the ceramic coated version. Hopefully these can support a Blown 502 with about 6psi of boost. I was going to buy the supercomps but I've heard fitment horror stories. Will I be sacrificing alot of power? These also have 2 inch primaries and a 3-1/2 inch collector. Any tips or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I like mine just fine, I doubt there is much more than a couple of horse power difference between them and the super comps, especialy through exhaust.
The clearance of the #3 tube is very close at the steering gear box. Mine needed quite a bit of tweeking to clear, but I used the exsisting small block frame mounts when I installed my 505. With the BB mounts you may be OK.
Right side slides right in, drivers side you might have to lift the engine to get them in. I dropped the steering box to install mine. Either way works.

Thanks for the reply, I have the original BB motor mounts installed so I figure they should slide in without too much hassle. BTW, that's a nice BB Camaro you have too. How much power is that 505 making? Take care.

I'm not sure on the power yet. engine is just a couple of months old now. I went to the strip with the 4.56 gears that I had in it for the old small block for some baseline runs. But I couldnt make a full pass, the engine was reving too high before I got through the lights, so I shut it down and coasted through the last 100 or so feet. It still ran 11.70s. I installed some 3.73s and Moser axles this weekend, so now I'm ready to get back out to the track and start tuning.

Blown 502 should have 2 1/8"-2 1/4" headers, depending on how much power its gonna make, and since tq isnt a problem for blown motors. 2 1/8" should be about right for a mild blown 502 makin 700+hp. Dont forget a good free flowin 3 1/2" or 4" exhaust system when makin that kinda power.

not to highjack here...but i have the same headers going on a 396... and was debating between the 2.5 inch or 3 inch exhaust for my NA motor with a decent cam..292H I/E 244@.050" LSA110, .550 lift...
Tubbed69, i have two more pics up on my page....
2.5 or 3 Inch?
