I have a 2.73 non posi in my 68, and I want to go to at least 3.73 posi. Does any one have a listing of what vehicles and years that would have a 3 series carrier to fit into my rearend. Also a listing of what vehicles would have a 12 bolt unit that would fit or swap into my car. And one last question does anyone know where I could get a cross ref book with this kind of info. Does anyone have a complete rearend with 3.73 to 4.56 posi for sale that would fit a 68 camaro. I live in Regina Sask.

I just got finished with this exact same swap and I would recommend looking on ebay and only buying a rear out of a 67-69 camaro or u can get one from somthing like a chevelle had have it narrowed to the 60.25 in required. I always prefer a direct bolt in myself. I Love the posi and the 4.56 gears are alittle too steep for the street so i am gonna get a 3 series and 3.55 gear and call it good

A 3 series carrier for a 10 bolt would be a cheaper swap....depends on the HP you are planning and how you are going to drive, as to whether or not you need to go 12 bolt. Of course if you just "want" a 12 bolt, that's a different story. Then you should look for a 67-69 Camaro or 68-74 (I think) Nova rear

hello regina,

I recently purchase an 12 bolt Auburn Gear Pro Posi-Carrier for $725.00 and 3.42 ring & gear for 305.00 and overhaul bearing kit for $107.00 all taxes included (canadian funds
I got them at Mopac Calgary)
I be cautious using used differential parts.
You might end up kicking yourself with parts
that eventually break due to metal fatigue.
