I know there is alot on this site about clutch noise but I would like a few more opions before I rip out the trans. I just installed a tko 600 every thing is new, except the bellhousing, clutch fork, and roller pilot bearing (It has 300 miles on it) they are the same ones I have been using with no trouble. flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and ball are all new. When you let out the clutch there is a whining noise from about 1/2 engaged to fully engaged. When engaged it sounds great when you push the clutch to the floor there is no noise. WHen shifting gears I cannot hear the noise but that doen't mean it is not there. It only makes noise when the trannyh is in gear. Please any help is apppreciated, I really don't want to pull the tranny but it is new so I don't want to screw it up. What is the chance the noise will go away????? Just hoping LOL

I had a similar problem with my muncie when I first bought my 67...It turned out to be a bad throw out bearing and a bent clutch fork.

If you have the trans in neutral with the clutch out does it make noise then or just shifting?

It only makes the noise when the tranny is in gear, when in neutral there is no noise what so ever if it is engaged or not.

Is the transmission new? If so, I would contact them before any warranty runs out. If it is used yuo can either plan a rebuild or return.
