View Full Version : What do you think? DjD Apr 5th, 05, 07:20 PM Check out the paper work pic... http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/295985/1 jet_car2000 Apr 5th, 05, 09:25 PM If that paper work is correct ,, that guy has lost his mind cutting that car up,whats the part about the impala conv on there was that a trade in ?? joe69rs Apr 6th, 05, 12:08 AM Overlooking the fact that there is nothing left of that car that is Baldwin Motion outside of the bill of sale, he pulled out a 427 for a blown 327...... Hey, It's his car. If he's happy with it this way..... :clonk: JimM Apr 6th, 05, 08:45 AM he must have a lotta money (and not much else...) looks like he hacked the heck out of his retirement fund sicsD8 Apr 6th, 05, 12:09 PM OHH....NOOoo.... Uncle Tupelo Apr 6th, 05, 12:41 PM It says on the baldwin invoice that the car had a RS package...yet on his car I see no evidence that it is or was an RS. Correct me if I am wrong. DjD Apr 7th, 05, 09:01 AM Good observation Uncle T - from the one clear pic of the rearend there are no back-up lights in the lower valance but the tail lamps don't look to have back-up lights in them either. KevinW Apr 7th, 05, 10:33 AM 3 bbl Daytona Carb ?? Hope is was a (less then basket case) when he got it HawaiianCamaro Apr 7th, 05, 09:46 PM RS items were removed and replaced when it was raced for weight reasons. Uncle Tupelo Apr 8th, 05, 09:33 AM RS items were removed and replaced when it was raced for weight reasons. That would make some sense. What doesn't make sense is taking a Baldwin original and chopping it up and turning it into what it is now, when that could have been done with almost any car. Just from a fiscal standpoint it seems somewhat irresponsible. But hey...one can do whatever one chooses with his or her own car. 68SSCamaroinKS Apr 8th, 05, 12:40 PM Sorry, I don't get it. I thought some local folks who have my old high school car (69' SS 350) were stupid for hacking on it. After seeing this I have concluded that some people are just flat-out retarded. I really had a hard time when he explained how proud of himself he was after all of that hacking. I bet the REAL reason his girlfriend left was because she found out what he was cutting up. Uncle Tupelo Apr 8th, 05, 02:28 PM I bet the REAL reason his girlfriend left was because she found out what he was cutting up. LOL...that was funny! "I just can't stay with a man who would chop up a documented Baldwin Camaro....It was like I didn't even know him anymore!" LOL ChevyThunder Apr 9th, 05, 03:04 PM Not sure when that web site was put up...but it was 12 years before even that...I would say even 12 years ago that would have been a bone head move..but being around these cars my whole life I have seen a lot of cars hacked up...if the guy had done it 5 years ago I would have to go find him and Barry Bonds him with a baseball bat to within an inch of his life ! I would think that at the current prices , if that car really is what he says , it would be worth restoring...after all look what cloned ZL-1 are going for or the Camaro on ebay at 80k with a Yenko motor from 1972....
