I am looking for a reputable machine shop in Austin, TX. I have a BB that needs to be bored/decked, crank polished and rotating assembly balanced. I have never had much machine work done here and would like some suggestions for shops that are familiar with performance work.

I had my brothers engine work done by Jim White (512) 442-8423 and his crank done by Performance Crank (512) 441-9726.
These were a recommendation from a friend of his and I thought they did good work.

Hopefully several of your area 'locals' on the board here will chime-in with their recommendations.

I haven't had any expericnce with local shops. I use South Austin Autoparts for what little work I have had done and I haven't heard anything bad about them. They are near the intersection of Manchacca and South Lamar.
