: Proform Idle air bleeds

I started messing around with my Idle air bleeds this evening and found a huge difference by changing them. But now have worse problems.
I have a 750 DP with a Quick Fuel billet base plate, and proform center section. Stock metering blocks. 1 Power valve in front. Had better luck by plugging the back valve.
Carb has always been on the rich side at idle but not bad.SoI picked up some bleeds and changed the 73's to 76's and the 75's on the secondary side to 78's. Huge difference. I was quite shocked at how much leaner it made it. So Im happy! So down the road I go. Wide open throttle about to shift into third and BLAAAA. Fell on its face. My first thought was I was out of gas,but not. Car ran just fine before the bleed change. Ajusted nothing else. I should be on the high speed bleeds and main fuel circuit with the throttle blades open. Am I missing something? Do I need to change the high speed bleeds also? Didnt think they were both part of the same cicuit?
Please note that it ran perfect before the bleed change. I do plan on swapping the old ones back in tomorrow to insure I dont have something else wrong. Fuel pressure drop, ect.
Any ideas guys?

Put the secondary ones back to original and leave the larger primary low speed bleeds as you changed them.

When you increase air bleed size you need to increase jet size to keep the same AF ratio. You might be able to add more jet too.

Personally I'd rather play with the IFRs to lean out the idle circuit than the low speed air bleeds.

Thanks for the tip Eric! I would need the Billet Metering blocks with the ajustable IFR's to do that correct? Unless I start drilling the factory restrictions in these blocks. I'm going to put the old bleeds back in the secondarys and give it a shot first. If that fails I can always go back the way I had it. Or even try to up the main jet size.
Thanks again!
