i have been having trouble releasing the hood from the latch and i have tried everything i can think of to get it to pop but i always have to drive over some bumps and pull the handle at the same time (not very fun while at a car show) would hood pins be worth it or not?

Sounds like you could fix it by adjusting either the latch or the bump stops. Have someone put some slight downward pressure on the hood while you pull the release handle and have them let go while you hold the handle. If it pops open an adjustment should do the trick.

i tried that and it didnt work i even replaced the cable and latch i thought mabe the pistions on the hood might be too big cause when i replaced them it started not to work but they are the same
